today was the day where we set foot into sembawang shipyard for the finals. didn't thought we could go this far of the competition. at first, didn't expect much of the competition, either because we were tired rushing there or just there wasn't any drive left. either way, we managed to arrived just in the nick of time.
and there was george, my team mate. trying his best to get all the info into him, it isn't any surpise, given only merely 2 days or so to prepare for his presentation. well, in the end, a job well done.
personally, i wasn't very optimistic about the product design and all, we all knew there were flaws and loopholes. to make it worse, we couldn't do anything about it; like sitting ducks, we were prepared to get bombarded by questions during the Q&A. that was what we thought.
the presentation came to an end, Q&A was immenent. surprisingly, the focus wasn't much on the filter design, instead, it was on our protein that we worked hard to actually churn up a table of properties and data on the protein itself. it caught the interest of almost all the panel of judges. one was even impressed we could come up with detailed findings with sufficiently thorough datas. it came as a surprised to us. that felt good.
so as of now, we just have to wait for the results to be out in dec. all i hope for is the best. guess the saying that hard work pays off is true. again, this wouldn't be possible without my team buddies and guidance from our two lecturers. thank them all :)
